Bio<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Bel\u00e9n Mill\u00e1n<\/strong> is a Spanish-American multimedia artist and audiovisual creator working between M\u00e1laga and New York. Her practice investigates post-natural environments and the increasingly unstable boundaries between the natural, synthetic, and engineered, with a particular focus on transformations that unfold beyond the threshold of human perception.<\/p>\n

Working across moving image, installation, and site-specific intervention, Mill\u00e1n uses excavation and fabulation as central methods for investigating these transformations. Her work often begins with specific landscapes and the materials found within them: traces, residues, and altered forms that point to processes that cannot always be directly seen or sensed. Through video, sound, found materials, and spatial interventions, she moves between evidence and speculation, constructing environments in which the perceptible becomes a way of approaching what remains imperceptible.<\/p>\n

She is currently pursuing a PhD in Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, with the Albor\u00e1n Sea as a situated field of artistic research. She is also the founder and director of WANDA \u2014 Women Artists' Networks \u00b7 Directory & Archive, an independent research initiative documenting women-founded arts organizations dedicated to advancing women in the arts.<\/p>\n
